THE MINI REPLACEMENT

The Mac Mini is one of Apple's greatest line of computers. Unfortunately, Apple seems to have abandoned the Mac Mini.

Apple has taken far too long between refreshing the Mini. It was 2 years between 2012 and 2014. And we are going on three years since the 2014 refresh of the line.

Oct 21, 2014 YouTube Review

The 2012 Mac Mini's RAM and Storage could be easily upgraded by the user. The 2014 Mac Mini had its RAM soldered in, and Apple made it harder to remove the cover, and harder to fix.

To add insult to injury, in 2014, Apple downgraded the mini from a quad-core to a dual-core processor. The upshot is that the 2012 Mac Mini is more powerful than the 2014 version; and still commands an inordinately high price even 5 years later.

It is as if Apple wants the Mac Mini line to die, and is intentionally killing it.

This site is built with an idea to presenting the reader with viable alternatives to the Mac Mini.

To that end, we are making comparisons to the 2014 High End Mac Mini (the i7 dual core) model. Our goal is to show that for hundreds of dollars less, it is possible to get a comparable PC that is faster, far more powerful, usually with more cores, and with more storage than even the High End Mac Mini.

Apple is acting disgracefully with this honorable line.
